How do I call GLM-4.7?

With the OpenAI SDK, as for any OpenAI-compatible API: set the base URL to https://llmwithcrypto.com/api/v1, read your key from LLMWITHCRYPTO_API_KEY, and pass glm-4.7 as the model. Pass your API key as a Bearer token in the Authorization header, as the OpenAI SDK does.

glm_4_7.py
import os

from openai import OpenAI

client = OpenAI(
    base_url="https://llmwithcrypto.com/api/v1",
    api_key=os.environ["LLMWITHCRYPTO_API_KEY"],
)

resp = client.chat.completions.create(
    model="glm-4.7",
    messages=[{"role": "user", "content": "Write a Python function that retries an HTTP call with exponential backoff, with tests."}],
)
print(resp.choices[0].message.content)
print(resp.usage)  # prompt_tokens and completion_tokens: what the call costs

What is GLM-4.7 good for?

GLM-4.7 is the latest release of Zhipu’s GLM-4 series, published under the MIT licence, with a context of about 200K tokens. Z.ai, Novita and DeepInfra listed it on 23 October 2026; several larger hosts list only the newer GLM-5.x models.

We position it for coding and agents. For a second opinion on the same task, DeepSeek V4 Pro runs on the same key.

What licence does GLM-4.7 come with?

MIT, as published by Zhipu: hosting GLM-4.7 as a paid API is allowed with the copyright notice kept. Each model keeps its own licence and use policy (for example Meta’s Llama Acceptable Use Policy and the “Built with Llama” notice); using a model through us means accepting them.

GLM-4.7 questions

Why GLM-4.7 and not GLM-5?

We serve models whose licences we have read and whose prices we can follow across hosts. GLM-4.7 is MIT-licensed and priced by three hosts; newer GLM releases are not on our list yet.

Is it cheaper than Z.ai’s own API?

Yes, by about 5%: Z.ai listed GLM-4.7 at $0.60 input and $2.20 output per million tokens on 23 October 2026; ours is $0.57 and $2.09.

Are my prompts kept?

We do not store your prompts or the model’s answers: once a response is sent, its text is gone. Each call leaves one log line with the time, the account, the model and the token counts, deleted after 30 days.
