Quick answer
What does the LLMwithCrypto acceptable use policy forbid?
The LLMwithCrypto API is for building software on open-weight language models. In short, these uses are forbidden: Child sexual abuse material, malware and attacks on systems, weapons capable of mass casualties, spam and fraud, harassment and threats, deceiving people that they talk to a human, and anything a model’s own licence or use policy forbids or that is illegal where you or we operate. Paying in crypto with no KYC changes none of it.
What is the API meant for?
Ordinary software work with language models: chat assistants, coding agents, summarising and translating documents, extracting data, classifying text, research tools and batch jobs. What you build and how you use the answers is your responsibility, including checking them before they matter.
Which uses are never allowed?
- Child sexual abuse material. Generating it, or any request that sexualises minors. We report what the law requires us to report.
- Weapons capable of mass casualties. Help with biological, chemical, nuclear or radiological weapons.
- Malware and attacks. Writing malicious code, or planning intrusions into systems you have no right to test.
- Spam and fraud. Bulk unsolicited messages, phishing, fake reviews, scams and impersonation.
- Harassment and threats. Content that targets a real person to intimidate, stalk or humiliate them.
- Passing a bot off as a human. Telling people they talk to a person when they talk to a model.
- Breaking a model's licence. Each model's own use policy applies on top of this one.
- Anything illegal where you are or where we operate.
- Reselling raw access to our API without a written agreement, as the terms explain.
Which model licences add their own rules?
Each model keeps its own licence and use policy (for example Meta’s Llama Acceptable Use Policy and the “Built with Llama” notice); using a model through us means accepting them. Most of our models are under Apache 2.0 or MIT, which add little beyond keeping the licence notice. Llama models come with Meta's Acceptable Use Policy and the “Built with Llama” notice. The models page names the licence of each model.
Can I ask a model to ignore its safety rules?
Our policy does not change with the prompt. A request that tries to get forbidden content out of a model is treated as a request for that content, whatever wording or role-play wraps it. Models may refuse requests on their own; we do not remove those refusals for anyone.
How are abuse reports handled?
Every abuse report is read by a person; accounts that misuse the service are suspended. Send reports to [email protected] with what you saw, when, and anything that identifies the account, such as an API response or an order ID.
We may pause an account while a serious report is reviewed. When misuse is confirmed, the account is closed and its keys revoked; unspent credit of an account closed for abuse is not refunded.
If you keep no prompts, how can you act on abuse?
With what we do keep and what reporters send. We do not store your prompts or the model’s answers: once a response is sent, its text is gone. Each call leaves one log line with the time, the account, the model and the token counts, deleted after 30 days. Reports usually include the content itself or an API response; the log line ties a call to an account, a model and a time. That is enough to close an account that breaks these rules.
The absence of KYC is about how you pay, not about what you may do. When a law obliges us to hand over records, we hand over what exists, and only then.
