Is there an official ChatGPT gift card?
Yes, in the United States only. OpenAI sells ChatGPT gift cards from $15 to $250 through participating retailers “such as Best Buy”, redeemed at chatgpt.com/redeem. The balance pays for ChatGPT on the web only, not for App Store or Google Play purchases, and it does not pay for the OpenAI API.
Can an App Store or Google Play balance pay for ChatGPT?
Yes, when you subscribe inside the app. ChatGPT sells its subscription in its iPhone and Android apps, billed by Apple or Google. Apple says an Apple Account balance from Apple Gift Cards pays for “apps, subscriptions, and more”; Google says Play balance can “Pay for subscriptions on Google Play”.
- The route: buy an Apple or Google Play gift card from a gift card seller that accepts crypto, redeem it on your own account, then subscribe in the ChatGPT app.
- Country: buy a card for the same country as your Apple or Google account.
- Billing: the subscription is then managed in your Apple or Google account, and the in-app price is set separately from the web price.
Is it safe to buy a cheap ChatGPT account for crypto?
No. Offers of ChatGPT for crypto on marketplaces and Telegram, often far below the official price, sell access to an account that is shared or paid for by someone else. OpenAI’s Terms of Use says: “You may not share your account credentials or make your account available to anyone else.”

On 22 October 2026: Go $6, Plus $20 and Pro from $100 a month, with Pro tiers at $100, $200 and $500. OpenAI’s pricing FAQ says annual billing exists only for Business and Enterprise.
Can I buy a ChatGPT gift card with crypto?
OpenAI sells its gift cards through retailers in the United States, and its help page names no crypto option. An Apple or Google Play gift card bought with crypto can pay a ChatGPT subscription started in the app instead.
Does a ChatGPT gift card pay for the OpenAI API?
