Quick answer
What has changed at LLMwithCrypto?
The LLMwithCrypto site and its API v1 contract were published on 23 October 2026 with 12 open-weight models, from DeepSeek V4 Pro to gpt-oss-20b, each priced 5% below the median of the public hosts that list it. Credit packs start at $25. Later changes to models, prices or API behaviour are added below with their date.
23 October 2026: website, documentation and API v1 contract
- Models: DeepSeek V4 Pro, DeepSeek V4.1 Flash, DeepSeek R1, Qwen3.5 397B A17B, Qwen3 235B A22B Instruct, gpt-oss-120b, gpt-oss-20b, GLM-4.7, Llama 3.3 70B Instruct, Gemma 4 31B, Mistral Large 3 and Mistral Small 4 — all open-weight models under licences that allow serving them.
- Price rule: Each model costs 5% less than the median price of the public hosts that list it, for input and output tokens, read on 2026-10-23. The prices behind each median are in the price index.
- Credit packs: $25 of API credit to $1,000 of API credit, sold at face value; credit never expires.
- API: OpenAI-compatible chat completions with streaming, tool calling and JSON output where the model supports them, plus the models and credits endpoints.
- Left out: closed models (GPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok), whose makers forbid resale, and open models whose licence we had not read or whose public prices were too few to give a median.
Which changes get a dated entry?
- A model added, renamed or removed.
- Any price change, up or down, with the old and the new price.
- A change to request or response fields, error codes or limits.
- An incident that made a model or the API unavailable, with what was done.
- A change to the terms, the privacy policy or the refund policy.
How are price changes announced?
Prices follow the market: we read the public host prices again and apply the same rule, 5% below the median. A new price applies to calls made after it is published here; a call is always charged at the price shown when it runs. Credit you already bought keeps its dollar value — only the price per token of a model can move.
Can I build on API v1 without surprises?
That is the intent. Fields are added, not renamed, within v1. When a model is retired, it is announced here before it stops answering, with a suggested replacement; your code then only needs a new model id. The API speaks the OpenAI chat completions format: point the OpenAI SDK, LangChain or any OpenAI-compatible tool at our base URL with your key, and change the model name.
How can I follow the changes?
Check this page or the status page. GET https://llmwithcrypto.com/api/v1/models always returns the models that answer right now, so an app can check its model id at start-up instead of failing on the first call.
