Quick answer
How do I pay for an LLM API with USDT?
At LLMwithCrypto, top up your balance with USDT on Tron (TRC-20) or Ethereum (ERC-20): copy the address and the exact amount from the payment page, send it, wait for the confirmations, then buy a credit pack and create an API key. As of 23 October 2026, the minimum top-up is $25, credit never expires and there is no KYC.
What are the steps from USDT to a first API call?
Pick a credit pack
Start from the pricing page. The top-up is set to the pack's price, at least $25.
Choose USDT and a network
Tron (TRC-20) or Ethereum (ERC-20). The payment page then shows our address for that network and the amount to send, to the cent and beyond.
Send the transfer
From your wallet or by a withdrawal from an exchange. Same coin, same network, same amount as on the page; the network fee is added by your wallet or exchange.
Let the network confirm it
The page follows the transfer until it has enough confirmations, then the balance is credited. You can close the page and come back.
Get your API key
Once your crypto top-up is confirmed and a credit pack is bought, your API key is waiting in the dashboard. Make one API key per app, agent or teammate and revoke any of them from the dashboard without touching the others.
Call the API
Point your OpenAI-compatible client at
https://llmwithcrypto.com/api/v1. Every call then spends tokens from your credit. You pay per token from your balance: input and output tokens are counted by the model’s own tokenizer and charged at that model’s price per 1M tokens. A call that ends in an error costs nothing.
TRC-20 or ERC-20: which network should I use?
Use the one your USDT already sits on, if you can. Moving it from one network to another costs a conversion or a bridge.
If you are buying USDT for the purpose, Tron is usually cheaper to send small amounts on; Ethereum fees vary more with traffic. The payment page names the network it expects, and the transfer must use exactly that one. USDC is accepted on Ethereum only; the other coins we take are BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC.
Which three mistakes cost money?
- The wrong network. USDT sent on BNB Chain or Solana to our Tron address does not arrive where we can see it. Funds sent on the wrong network or in the wrong coin may be lost for good.
- An amount that changed on the way. Some exchanges take their withdrawal fee out of the amount you type. Check the “amount received” line and make it match the payment page; we match payments by their exact amount.
- A transfer inside an exchange. Sending to another user of the same exchange is not an on-chain transfer, so it never reaches our address. Use a withdrawal to the address shown.
How long until I can call the API?
As long as the network takes to confirm, plus our check. The payment page states how many confirmations each network needs and shows where your transfer stands. Once the balance is credited and the pack is bought, the key works straight away.
If a transfer seems stuck, write to [email protected] with the transaction ID. A person answers support emails within 12 hours, seven days a week, and helps you point your SDK or agent at the API.
What happens to USDT I do not spend?
It stays as credit. Credit has no expiry date: what you do not spend this month is still there next year. Credit on your balance does not expire and pays for tokens on any model, whenever you call the API. When a pack costs less than the minimum top-up, the part you paid only to reach that minimum comes back on request within 30 days of payment, in USDT or USDC, provided it is still unspent. The rest of a balance is not paid out unless the law requires it.
The refund policy has the full rule: A credit pack bought in the last 72 hours goes back to your balance if less than 20% of it was spent. If the API does not work for you and support cannot fix it within 24 hours, the unspent credit goes back to your balance. Top-ups stay on the balance and are not paid out unless the law requires it; whatever you added only to reach the minimum top-up comes back on request within 30 days, in USDT or USDC, as long as it is unspent.
Paying an LLM API with USDT: common questions
Can I pay with USDT on BNB Chain or Solana?
Not today. We take USDT on Tron (TRC-20) and Ethereum (ERC-20) only. Withdraw or convert to one of those networks first.
Do I need to verify my identity?
No. No ID, no selfie, no documents. Sign in with an account number; an email address is optional.
Does OpenAI accept USDT for its API?
No. OpenAI's help pages, read on 22 October 2026, list standard credit or debit cards only for API credits. LLMwithCrypto sells open-weight models, not OpenAI's.
Who pays the network fee?
The sender. It is charged by the blockchain or the exchange, not by us, and it comes on top of the amount shown.
