Is there any indirect route?
Not on the pages read on 22 October 2026: GitHub lists no gift card, and Copilot is not billed through the App Store or Google Play. Organizations with an Azure subscription can be billed through it, which is a route for companies, not for individuals paying in crypto.
Is it safe to buy a cheap GitHub Copilot account for crypto?
No. Offers of GitHub Copilot for crypto on marketplaces and Telegram, often far below the official price, sell access to an account that is shared or paid for by someone else. The GitHub Terms of Service (section B.3) says: “a single login may not be shared by multiple people”, and section H bans access “that would result in resale of GitHub’s Service”.
Such an account can be closed without refund, and anyone else on it can see your conversations and files. The guide to cheap AI accounts and API keys lists the warning signs.
Can I use open models for coding instead?
Yes, in any editor or coding agent that accepts an OpenAI-compatible base URL and key. LLMwithCrypto serves coding-capable open-weight models such as GLM-4.7 and DeepSeek V4 Pro (from $1.254 per million input tokens), paid in crypto. It does not give you GitHub Copilot itself.
